Kitchen in Beech

This kitchen is the only one on the website that I didn’t design. Architect Sir Richard McCormack drew up the ideas for his weekend retreat, a converted chapel in Somerset. Magnus Scholefield approached me with the job and we worked on it together. He is an excellent craftsman and since this project he has worked with me on several of the larger jobs. It is difficult to find help of the dedication and skill needed for the quality of work that comes out of the studio and Magnus can be relied upon to maintain high standards. He runs his own fine woodworking practice nearby and when work demands we can pool our resources.

The colour and size of the tiling works really well with the beech and stainless steel. The panels of the doors were left for Richards partner to Jocaste Innes to use as a blank canvas.
